Hexbug is a micro-creature toy robot inspired by BEAM technology. Hexbug has a handful of straight forward behaviors. Once switched on, Hexbug will move forward with a classic alternating tripod gait. If an obstruction touches either of the antennae, or if it detects a loud sound it will back up to the left and then continue forward. The name Hexbug, even so, has a great deal more to do with the shape of the packaging it is sold in than the number of legs it has.
The nano series, which acts particularly similarly to a bug in that it will flip itself over if it is placed on its back. It has an off-set motor in it which causes it to vibrate.

If you want to drive your cats nuts, let them chase this little factor around your kitchen floor. When it runs into anything it turns around and if the cats tip it more than, it rights itself. Our cats enjoy it when it goes below the stove and then comes out in a few minutes. They're as well freaked out about it to really place the toy in their mouths considering that it vibrates, so it keeps them busy and I do not have to be concerned about them consuming it. Youngsters really like it, too, and keeps them wondering just what tends to make this tiny invention move since it has no moving parts - only the vibration keeps it going. I suggest this affordable, cute toy.
