I purchased this interactive room lamp for my nephew who is fascinated with lamps and technology. Perfect gift. It arrived today, and it appeared to be a repackage. The lamp "head" of the Being was discolored, and there was a huge crack across the entire top part of the head. The original packaging was not in good shape and looked like it had been opened and put back in. I can't comment as to whether the toy is fun, or educational...would appear to not be very durable as it was broken upon receipt. Am still not convinced that yellowing on the lamp head or the crack happened during shipping. Back to shopping for the nephew. :(

The lamps are of excellent quality, and all arrived well packaged and in working order. Although not fragile, it probably isn't the best choice for really young children who haven't learned the concept of "don't be too rough" with it. Otherwise, great gift for boys and girls.
