I'm an avid gamer (D;D, Heroscape, and other board games) and I love the Star Wars Miniatures Game - it's easy to set up, the rules are easy to learn, its quick to play (you can easily play 3+ games in an hour), and yet deep enough that you don't get bored. However, in the past, I've had a problem: we only had the board that came with the original Starter Set back in the mid-2000s (Revenge of the Sith). It got a little dull having our battles on the same board over and over and over.
Then came this product: you get two pre-packed minis and their stat cards, and a big (24x36 in.) double-sided battle map. While it's a bit expensive, it's definitely worth it for those of us who need more battle maps and a couple extra minis (this set comes with Asajj Ventress and a Clone Trooper).
One drawback: the map itself is a big piece of folded glossy paper which 1) is tough to fold back into a square and 2) will be prone to rips, tears, spills, etc. I would recommend getting it laminated so it will be more durable.
