We purchased this chemistry set for our 11 year old grandson who is particularly interested in "how factors perform". There are enough fundamental experiments to hold him entertained for lots of hours and to teach him the standard principles he will use in later experiments in science class. He is currently studying at the 8th grade level in chemistry and the item, even though a toy, kept his interest. I am incredibly happy with our obtain.
I asked my 8 yr old what he wanted to study next in science (we homeschool) and he stated Chemistry. We located this kit and thought it was a affordable value.
