Picked up two of these guys the other day due to the fact they occurred to be in the retailer and I happened to be in the retailer. A little bit of background initial: I'm a 26 year-old collector of a lot of items which includes robotic pets. I've tried out Furbys, Micropets, Neopets, Scoozie pets, Petal-chi, Mutsu, Fureal Friends, and far more so I think of myself a bit of an expert on the subject.
To get started with, these factors consume batteries, have triple A's on hand. Second, I don't have any playsets, I'm just testing the hamsters.
Upon opening and removing this tiny guy I attempted out "cuddle mode", which was a small disappointing. The hamster will lie nonetheless and make cute noises each and every handful of seconds or so but he is not truly responding to something. "Try me mode" is when the hamster is off but you can push his nose to hear a random noise, not a lot of entertaining there. Now play mode, that's where the entertaining is. The wheels are rapidly and the grip is genuinely strong, I promptly place it on my boyfriend to see if it would climb up his shirt and it did, hit the back of the couch, made a springy noise and ran back down. Even he cracked up at it. It tackles carpet and all tough surfaces no situation, and tends to make a ton of completely different noises, some 40 in all, and every of the 4 styles sounds distinctive!. You have to be cautious about stairs but all in all it does what it was made to do and cheaply at that. At typical retail they are more affordable than most action figures.
(I got mine at typical retail and I recommend you wait until you can also. If you have children and can not come across them try giving a cute IOU written from the hamster saying how it will come to live with your youngster right after X-mas. They have a guarantee from you, you have a kid who nonetheless has anything to appear forward to after December. All is well.)
Recall these are for ages three and up and have motorized components. It says in the instruction to supervise your kid, so do so. Threat is almost certainly minimal but if you have a kid you wouldn't give a RC auto to then they're quite possibly also small for these.

My daughter got this toy a couple of days ago for her birthday from her aunt who searched the city for it. So far, it has been played with for about ten minutes total. It just tends to make some weird noises not even related to a hamster... horn honking, whirling. It gets stuck in corners for the reason that it flips on its back. That is where I have located it largely...in a corner. Not soft sufficient to sleep in the bed with children. Nor do I assume that would be secure. When the wheels turn, they are extremely quick and sturdy. The grip would wrap lengthy hair and not let go. Wheels do not turn off with pressure. It consider that is where the age recommendation comes in. Rolls on challenging floor only, not carpeting.
